Achieving outstanding results

Haileybury is acclaimed as an outstanding independent school in Australia and overseas because of a unique combination of factors that deliver more than the sum of their parts: innovative teaching methods, brilliant teachers, outstanding academic results, a strong international focus and a comprehensive understanding of education that stretches back to 1892.

Haileybury's academic efforts in the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) continue to deliver outstanding collective results, and rank Haileybury in the top 0.5% of schools in Australia.

2021 VCE results include:

  • 100% pass rate
  • Eight highest possible ATAR scores of 99.95
  • 12.5% of students attaining an ATAR of 99+ putting them in the top 1% in Australia
  • 51% of students placed in the top 10% of Australia
  • 36 perfect Study Scores of 50 were achieved in 15 different subjects.

Application requirements

Haileybury prides its reputation on differentiation and inclusion across varied student programs. However, given its structure and delivery method, the Summer Skill Builder Program cannot tailor to children with complex learning difficulties who require additional support. Their best interest would not be accommodated in this program.

  • Part A English Assessment- 60/100 – minimum requirement.
  • Part B Non-Verbal General Ability and Part C Mathematics Reasoning Ability – 6/10- minimum requirement.
