Our students’ sporting achievements are a testament to their dedication, teamwork and spirit. From thrilling victories on the field to displays of sportsmanship and persistence, these snapshots capture the energy and enthusiasm that sport brings to our community.

Meet Henry

Congratulations to Henry, a Haileybury Pangea student and Melbourne Swimming Club member, for winning 6 medals (1 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze) at the Victorian State Age Short Course Championships. Competing as an S19 multi-class swimmer, Henry’s hard work and determination were evident in his outstanding results.

Meet Olivia and Maddison

Congratulations to Olivia (Year 9), who was named Overall Champion Showjumper, and Maddison (Year 5), who won Champion in the Improvers class, at Boneo Park. Their achievements helped Haileybury Equestrian secure the ISJ Champion School Trophy for 2025.

Meet Ned

Congratulations to Ned from Haileybury Pangea, who represented Victoria at the National Hockey competition, earning a bronze medal and being elected co-captain as the youngest team member. In his first major competition, Ned’s dedication and leadership stood out—an inspiring achievement for this talented young athlete.

Meet Rayaan

With wins in both the Under 17 Boys Singles and the 1700 category. With four years of dedication to table tennis, Rayaan divides his time between Victoria and India, all while working towards his goal of representing Australia at world table tennis tournaments.

Meet Novak

Year 7 student Novak has made incredible strides on the tennis court in 2025 which include playing at Wimbledon and winning Tennis Victoria's Junior Athlete of the Year!

Felix's film shortlisted

Congratulations to Felix, who was shortlisted as a finalist in the Year 7–10 category of the Student Film Festival at the Arts Learning Festival for his film ‘Shear Determination’ about Shearwater birds. This follows his previous Highly Commended award for ‘Procrastination’. Well done, Felix!

Meet Xinyu

Congratulations to Haileybury Pangea student Xinyu, who won first place out of 174 participants in her age group at the Shanghai Mongolia Music Festival in China, performing Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 (third movement Rondo). An outstanding achievement in her musical journey!

Meet Albert and Felix

Congratulations to Albert (Year 5), who will present his self-designed game, Flora World, at the ACMI+RMIT Young Creators Lab, with coding and animation support from his brother Felix (Year 7). Albert is one of seven young creators selected to showcase their games to industry experts. Well done!

Meet Ishan

Ishan recently took part in an aviation industry experience, discovered through the Haileybury Pangea Careers page. The event offered an inside look at the technology and software engineering behind the scenes, including time aboard a commercial plane. This hands-on opportunity gave Ishan practical insight into aviation careers.

Haileybury Pangea students take part in LEAP Week

HaIleybury Pangea students had an opportunity to take part in a talent show and show off unique skills within the student community. From scratch design and coding, to Lego building and robot dancing, students showed off a wide range of unique STEM based skills.

In the community

Students are actively involved in a wide range of initiatives that make a positive difference beyond the classroom. This section highlights their participation in community service, leadership activities, media features, and other projects that demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility and meaningful engagement with the wider world.

Meet Eli

Year 7 student Eli and his family joined Sunrise’s Sam Mac and the weather crew for a road trip along the Sapphire Coast of NSW, organised by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia to promote the Road To A Million campaign. They visited locations like Nelligen, Tathra and Pambula Beach, sharing their experiences live on TV.

Meet Henry

Year 6 student Henry took part in National Tree Day at Gardiners Creek, planting native species to support the local ecosystem. Henry hopes to inspire classmates to volunteer, highlighting the rewards of seeing restored habitats and emphasising the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.

Social Justice Initiatives

Started by a group of our 2025 Year 12 cohort, the push up challenge was one of the social justice initiatives which brought Haileybury Pangea students together to raise awareness and funds to support mental health for Australians.

Within the Haileybury Pangea community

The Haileybury Pangea community is shaped by strong connections, shared experiences and a spirit of collaboration. Here you’ll find stories that celebrate friendships, milestones, and the unique opportunities that come from being part of a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Haileybury Pangea Chess Club

Year 10 student Cooper founded a student-led chess club, as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award, offering a relaxed, social space for students to enjoy weekly chess games. Club members also design their own boards and create new rule variations, fostering creativity, initiative, and a strong sense of community.

Model UN

Students from Haileybury Pangea and Haileybury Rendall School participated online in a Model United Nations collaboration, debating issues such as female refugees and space cooperation, developing diplomacy skills, and demonstrating teamwork and adaptability by negotiating resolutions—including one presented without prior notice—highlighting international outlook and citizenship through intercampus engagement.

Year 5 students explore the world of bees

Year 5 students visited the Haileybury Hive at Berwick as part of their Science unit on bees. Dressed in beekeeper suits, they observed bees in the apiary, studied bee anatomy with microscopes, learned about threats to bee populations, tasted different honeys, and connected with peers from other campuses.

Medieval Day

Three Year 8 Haileybury Pangea students joined their Haileybury counterparts for Medieval Day. From thrilling sword fighting and archery demonstrations to hands-on workshops, students fully immersed themselves in the fascinating customs, colourful costumes and captivating culture of the Middle Ages. It was a truly unforgettable day of fun, discovery and learning as history came to life in the most spectacular way!

Languages Week

Haileybury Pangea students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of other countries as part of languages. Activities included a French cooking class, where students had the opportunity to make a perfect crepe with the help of a chef.

From online world to in-person connection

Haileybury Pangea Year 5 students, Owen, Ned and Albert turned their online friendship into a real-world adventure, meeting up at the Melbourne Zoo and turning it into their virtual classroom for the day.
