Media is the course for budding filmmakers or those working towards a career in the media or any of the creative industries, journalism, advertising or media teaching and scholarship. Media includes film, television, photography and print media, as well as the internet, computer games, mobile phones and social media.

Media Unit 3 & 4 - Media Narratives | Pre-Production | Media Production and Issues


It is recommended a student complete Media Units 1 - 2 prior to studying Media Units 3 - 4.


For Units 3 and 4, students complete School-Assessed Coursework (20%), a School-Assessed Task (40%), and an end-of-year examination (40%).

Using the Victorian Assessment Software System (VASS), a student is enrolled in each of their subjects with both (a) a home school and (b) an assessing school.
