Specialist Mathematics is an advanced subject that develops students’ mathematical skills through challenging concepts, investigative projects, and real-world problem solving, including the use of computer algebra systems. Students may study Units 1 and 2 in Year 11 and Units 3 and 4 in Year 12. This subject requires concurrent enrolment in Mathematical Methods Units 1 and 2 or Units 3 and 4.
