Overview
Music: Repertoire Performance develops intellectual, aesthetic and cultural understanding through the practical development of instrumental/vocal ability. Students develop skills in preparing programs of music as a member of a group, or as a soloist. This study is suited to students who have a background in the recreation and interpretation of notated musical works (AMEB for example).

Unit focus areas
Music Repertoire Performance Unit 3- Develop performance skills, explore contextual understanding relevant to performance practice, and examine critical listening techniques. Students prepare recital performances as a fundamental underpinning of the course.
Music Repertoire Performance Unit 4- In addition to skill development initiated in Unit 3, final stages of artistic refinement are examined in preparation for the presentation of the final recital performance. advanced performance conventions to the delivery of selected works.
Pre-requisites
Entry into this course will be determined by experience and ability. It is recommended students complete Music Unit 1 and 2 as preparation to Music: Repertoire Performance. This course is open to Year 11 and 12 students. Weekly individual lessons are expected to be taken throughout the course of study.
Assessments
For Units 3 and 4, students complete School-Assessed Coursework (30%), external written examination (20%) and a group or solo performance examination (50%).
